I hope everyone is making the most of the weather this week, but for those who might not live where I am, we just received a beauitful 30cm of snow! Yes it is April 8th today..
Tonight I was a little stumped on what to write about, my Spirits know me best and told me I should be talking about Anxiety, and share some knowledge with how anxiety is really connected to Spirit.
We all have auras around our body's. Some people might have aura's that are very large, some very tight within, some even absent from the body, and others perfectly balanced. A quick break down of these would be someone with a large aura would be more prone to easily loosing touch with their inner self. Someone with a very tight aura within their body might shut down their healthy flow of energy, and often loose touch with themselves. Someone who has a healthy balanced aura is usually arms length in distance, which creates the knowing and awareness of people around you, without loosing your sense of self. Now before I go any further, let us take a quick look at Anxiety. Anxiety: "Anxiety is a condition of persistent and uncontrollable nervousness, stress, and worry that is triggered by anticipation of future events, memories of past events, or ruminations over day-to-day events, both trivial and major, with disproportionate fears of catastrophic consequences." www.healthofchildren.com
We will tie in these two topics to understand more that Anxiety is not always classified as a mental illness.
I have suffered Anxiety almost my entire life. When I was about 15 years old, I started taking frequent panic attacks. It would be any hour of the day, it didn't matter where or what I was doing. I would be consumed with a strong sense of emotion, and loose all control of my body. It would first trigger sweaty palms, then the need to get up and move, feeling your heart racing faster and faster, uncontrollably loosing the rhythm of breaths I was so focused on, and feeling like it was never going to stop. I vividly remember being 17 years old, going out on a date with my boyfriend, and getting this awful sense of anxiety come over me as soon as I sat down in that movie theater chair, top left hand corner to be persist. I tried so hard to play it cool, but I couldn't.. I remember focusing on the breathing so hard that I couldn't eat the popcorn. I ran out of the movie theater so fast and demanded him to bring me home as soon as possible because I just knew what was going to happen next. We pulled up to the house, and he helped me inside. By this point I felt like I was going to pass out. I see my beautiful mom, and thought everything was going to be fine (She was the only person who could calm me down. She would make trips to my high school to do so) but that day she could't. I remember bits and pieces of what happened that evening, but mostly my mom calling 911 because my heart rate had reached 177 bpm.. (Just so everyone is aware, an average heart rate ranges from 60-100 bpm) The paramedics arrived, checked me all over and brought me back down to earth that evening, giving me the option of an emerge visit, or remain calm with my mom close by for the night. Needless to say, I stayed home! Anxiety is the trigger to the bullets of panic attacks. I heard it all, you have anxiety/panic attacks because of this.. because of that.. you should be doing this.. and you should be doing that.. Oh and let's not forget the famous line, if you do this it will reduce your episodes... YA RIGHT.
I continued on in life, having episodes of anxiety attacks, not really understanding why. For a while I had convinced myself that it was genetic, just like suffering depression. Was I ever wrong. In fact, it was not until recently I understood that Spirit triggers anxiety. What a silly concept right? In fact it all came together, like a large unfinished puzzle had finally found it's missing piece.
The concept is simple, when a Spirit is trying to communicate with you, and you are unaware of this, they are actually entering your aura. The closer that your loved ones come to you, the more anxiety you will feel. If a Spirit steps in your aura then you are going to feel the shock of two energies coming together. This makes a spark. You have no choice but to feel that physically. An example would be, if you are worried that your husband should have been home over an hour ago from his long commute home from work, and you get this sudden blanket of anxiety wrapping around you, it is most probably just a Spirit coming in to tell you everything is okay! Don't worry, he is fine! Without knowing this, we just assume the worst, instead of noticing the comfort it can bring you! Now that I have learnt this, my life is forever changed. I don't think you can ever get over the fact of taking anxiety/panic attacks, but you can learn to control them. I still receive small little attacks daily, usually when I am out in large public place, or events. I can tell you right now you would never catch me at a concert! I also have anxiety, but again I have the control, sometimes up to 24 hours before a medium session. I prepare myself and I am open to receiving messages that are meant for the highest good of my clients. During my sessions, I can say it is exactly like suffering a small anxiety attack throughout, because of the spirits all around me communicating. (I do have to mention here, that if you are looking into expanding your knowledge and touch on mediumship, it is SO important that you never be nervous for you! The session is not about you, and how you will do. It is always about your client. You are simply a middle man giving them their much needed messages. If you are focused on yourself, chances are, self doubt will lead you to less knowledge, and questioning every anwser, or validation you received. I have gotten the most random validations that connected so much to my client, but if I would have second guessed that, that important message would never be delivered. Trust yourself, and your guides. If you get nervous, focus on service!)
I strongly believe that all those suffering from extreme anxiety, are all meant to tap into their spiritual birth right and thrive from it. There are many things you can do to help with anxiety. First and foremost, when you feel the anxiety coming on, I stop myself right away and shield myself (I do this many times a day). Encircling yourself in a beautiful white or purple light, and call upon guidance from Archangel Michael to protect you from any negative energies. If you are not into the whole spiritual lifestyle (yet!) you can simple encircle yourself in a white light, and ask all Spirits to leave, and go to the light. Another big topic to help with Anxiety is to always ground yourself! This is so very important, and not many people know this. If you are feeling spacey, confused, forgetful, tired or disconnected, you are not where you are meant to be, in the moment.
Grounding yourself is essential, here are a few things you can do to help: -Taking a nice warm bath with Epson salt or Sea salt -Grounding meditations (google, or youtube can assist with this) -Walking bare feet outside, or having your feet in dirt/soil
-Being outside in nature
-Eating earth produce, potatoes, carrots..
These are just to name a few you can try to help ground yourself daily. My personal go to is a quick grounding affirmation/meditation, and Epson salt baths. During the beautiful weather being in nature, bare feet is a close second.
